Spring Break 2012!

It's been months since my last post and its because every time I tried to log on it said "Rachelle's Rambling does not exist".  Just for the record this only happened on MY computer but somehow it worked on every one elses... just sayin....

Let me start with Spring Break! For college students this seems to be the sluttiest time of every body's life where decisions are made that are forgotten the second you are back in normal life. When I hear the words spring break for some reason I just picture crazy girls in bikinis flashing people, but maybe that is Mardi Gras? I really don't know... But that is basically all I did my spring break. NOT!

Originally I had no major plans, no extravagent cruise, no wild lake havasu... I planned on having a nice quite week with my family working on 1 of my 5 major papers due in the next few weeks (blah). Don't get me wrong, I love my family; creepily obsessed in fact, but when the invitation was extended to go to St George (aka Mesquite which turned out to be something called Littlefield I think...) I couldn't say no! So at 9 PM my two friends Heidi and Nicki picked me up for the 5 hour road trip.  Since it was pretty late we had this great idea to take 5 hour energies so A) we would be tired and B) we thought it would make us funnier and have good times for "SPRING BREAK!" Turns out we were very wrong.  The drive seemed like FOREVER and none of us were even funny (even though it was good bonding). Of course the second we get out of the car (something after 2 am) we were SO HYPER AND CRAZY! it was so annoying because we didn't get tired until like 6 am! "You just stay on this road forever, does that make sense?" "no Heidi, please explain what you mean by that..."

The trip was so fun! There was a beautiful porch we sat on daily while sipping diet coke. We rode around on a golf cart, slept in, cooked food, went hot tubbing, watched storage wars, and went to St George and Vegas!

One of my least favorite parts about spring break (but now looking back which kills me) is none of us EVER KNEW what time it was! Since day light savings was the day before, and we were in such a teeny tiny town, half had Utah time while the other half had Nevada time. I never knew what time it was or what was going on and it drove me crazy! My excuse for everything about every five minutes was "well maybe if I knew what time it was..."

Another good time we had was purchasing our "Party Hats".  I got this red beachy snapback from my Grandma Rae after she died that says BetZ on the front that I am actually find excuses to wear all the time! Although everyone makes fun of me for it, it is a trend that is slowly catching on that I knew HeidiHo and Young Nicoli were secretly jealous of.  On one of our adventures to St G we couldn't resist hitting up good old Gen-X and buying party hats for the rest of the gang!

Like I've said before, Vegas isn't my favorite place in the world considering I'm not old enough to do anything (not that I'm exactly hip on the drinking, gambling, and party scene...), but Vegas is kind of a dirty nasty place, but we made the most of it! We went shopping, ate on the strip, watched the fountains at Bellagio, made some friends, and danced around in hopes of making tips (FAIL). Most importantly on spring break I finally found out who my Kappa Delta date is going to be, got my dress, and made our masks for the theme "Mascarade" ("he's a good guy, he went on a mission for like... 3 months")
I really had such a good week! It definitely ended way too soon. Although some would consider it quite and maybe even boring, I had such a good time with my sisters and just relaxing! Sometimes I wonder if when I grow up I'm going to regret not doing anything crazy back in my prime, but then I always think "no... probably not".

This warm weather is making me crazy and impossible for me to get anything done! All I ever want to do is play outside! only 6 more weeks of the semester (then 4 weeks of summer school) then I'm a free spirit!

But like I always say "Spring break, no regrets"
